Just curious how the stock skid plates have held up for you? I ride Windrock Park for a few days each year and was planning to leave on the stock skid plates, but thought you might have some good insights. Already planning to add A-Arm Guards.

My buddy just bought one and wants to know where you got the rock sliders, he's having a hell of a time with fitment issues and sites that say an accessory "fits" but then come to find out it really doesn't, it's for older models or not a 1000, yet site says yes it fits.

2 tips you might have mentioned are (1) best ways to securely tie off the loose end while in use, and (2) how to use the ratchet to bundle the strap tightly for storage.

Brian, I started to carry 3 more small items other than what you listed there. 1) Cotter pins 2) Cheap test light 3) a few feet of 12V wire. I've used all three of those to get guys out of the woods. If im overlanding, then yes the weight of the extra tools goes up, but for the every day trail tools, my pack pretty much mimics what you have.

Worst product ever

The tabs broke off mine from pulling the seat off. Its garbage. Very disappointed.

Another safety tip. Cross the chains under your hitch, @1:59 your safety chains obviously aren’t crossed and won’t catch the hitch if the trailer detaches. See this all the time, stay safe out there. 👊

It looks like this fits a spare tire is that the case?

I use this system with a slight modification. I put axle straps with rash guards through the wheels and do a crisscross method with the straps. The front wheel gets locked down to the rear eye hook on the trailer same side and the rear wheels get locked down to the front eye hook on the trailer same side. We did a similar method with 3-wheelers and quads except we had to go around the axles. I have seen a few car tow companies use both this method in the video and my method. I have seen the same driver use both methods. But this is by far the best and safest way.

Great video. I have been using the Louisiana guard dog and trailer dog for the last 10 years to secure my units in the bed of my truck and on my trailer with zero problems. This to me is the best and easiest way to secure a atv/utv. Just my 2 cents.
